LTSC is excited to annouce the addition of another outstanding licensed coach for the 2012-13 playing year. Pro player Jen Buczkowski joins the LTSC coaching staff with the acclaim of having helped her college and pro teams win national championships. She will be working with our girls program. Jen grew up playing youth soccer in the northwest suburbs and eventually went on to play at the University of Notre Dame, where she was a member of the 2004 national championship team. Jen was a three-time NSCAA All-American and set the Notre Dame record for career games played (103, 6th most in the NCAA record book).
A member of several youth national teams, Jen was chosen as a member of the U-19 World Cup team as well as the U-21 Nordic Cup team (2005 champions).
After playing at Notre Dame, Jen was drafted to New Jersey Sky Blue for the inaugural season of the WPS (Women’s Professional Soccer League) and won her second national championship. The following season she was selected in the 1st round of the expansion draft by the Philadelphia Independence.
In the 2011 season, Jen won the “Iron Women” Award, starting and playing in every match for Philadelphia while helping the team to back-to-back appearances in the championship game. Jen currently plays for the Chicago Red Stars in the WPSL Elite League now that the WPS no longer exists.
Jen will work with the Girls U8 Travel team in addition to helping with other programs throughout the year.
