LTSC would like to welcome back former Director of Recreation Matthew Hodgson in his new role as Union Girls Director of Coaching.
Matt spent two years with LTSC in 2015-16 where he oversaw the day-to-day running of the recreational program. He was also heavily involved in coaching many of the clubs youth and high school aged teams. Matt spent the 2016/17 season in Kansas City, working with KC Prime Soccer Club. At KCPSC his role was U9/U10's Director of Coaching, where he worked hard to help develop coaches within the club, wrote the KCPSC youth curriculum and delivered club technical sessions within his age range. He also worked as the Tournament and Sponsorship Director.
“Moving to Kansas City was a great opportunity to develop new skills and to see a new part of the country. I enjoyed my time in KC but ultimately I missed working in the Chicago area and missed working at such a great club. The staff at LTSC are a fantastic group who really believe in playing soccer the right way and developing players to succeed at any and every level from recreation, all the way to a national scale." Matt Hodgson.
Matt has worked full time in the USA for the last 7 years, most notably with the Chicago Fire camps and training program and the Chill Soccer Club in Michigan. Matt is looking forward to his new challenge of building the Union Girls program and bringing the best soccer experience to the high school aged girls from La Grange and the surrounding areas.
Matt will start his new role in June with current Union girls DOC Chris Wright stepping down at the end of the 2016/17 season to spend more time with his family. All current questions and tryout queries will still be directed to Chris Wright (firstname.lastname@example.org), but you can include Matt Hodgson (email@example.com) who's new email is now active.
