Lyons Township Soccer Club

The Lyons Township Soccer Club's competitive program is split into 4 levels that vary according to age and ability. These levels are designed in ways to develop players of all abilities between the ages of 7 and 18. All levels receive professional coaching from licensed coaches at all training and games.

The first level is the Travel program which play within the lower levels of the respective boys and girls leagues and are designed to provide development and experience to those players who are new to travel soccer and/or are less committed to travel soccer. The travel level teams also participate in local tournaments to aid their development. The Travel program is very focused on individual technical development for each player to help them progress to playing at a higher level as they get older and become more advanced. There can be multiple travel teams at a specific age groups and players can train with premier level teams as extra training sessions in preparing them for Union High School level.

The Premier level program is the second level within the LTSC Competitive program and is designed for players between U8 and U14 who are committed to the sport and have some technical development appropriate for their age. Teams within the Premier program can play at any level of the respective leagues and compete in a variety of tournaments (most locally, some regionally at U12 and up) geared to the specific level that the team can compete at. The Premier program is designed to advance players and teams to progress to play at the Select level. The focus at the younger ages is on individual technical development and as they get older, group tactical understanding is introduced. There can be multiple Premier level teams at a specific age group in preparing them for the Union High School level.

The Select level is for those players who are very developed in their soccer skills and are committed to playing at a high level within their age group. Select level teams play in the upper third of divisions within the respective leagues and compete at high level tournaments both locally and regionally. The focus at the Select level is to develop the players individually and collectively as a team to compete at the highest level possible in preparing them for the Union High School level.

The High School Union Program provides opportunities for U15 - U18 players to gain training and participate in State, Regional and National tournaments while remaining part of the LTSC competitive program.  Players who are multi sport athletes or want to play with there friends also participate within this program.  (This does not exclude players outside the LTSC area). The program focus's on providing the same opportunities players have always recieved under the U8-U14 structure with fantastic professional coaching, excellent adminstration and opportunities to further enhance their development into college soccer.  This program is called LTSC Union.

This program is focused on those players/teams that have a high level of commitment to soccer and have demonstrated advanced soccer skill levels in their age group

• Select teams play in a division in the top 3rd of their age group
• Select teams participate in 4 tournaments per year (Additional can be provided)
• These teams are expected to train and play games during fall, winter and spring seasons
• Our objective within the club structure is to have a Select level team at each age group (U10-U18)
• Players from this level can be selected for combined events throughout the year
• Select teams will train 2-3 times a week mandatory.  However are strongly encouraged to train 5 times a week
• Select U13-U14 players can train with Union teams during winter
• Opportunities to guest play for various teams within club are also available for select level teams

This program is designed to prepare players to eventually compete for a place at the Select level, whether it be as an indvidual or as a team.

• Premier teams can play in any level within the respective leagues
• Premier teams participate in 3 tournaments per year
• Players from the Premier level have an opportunity throughout the year to play for select teams
• These teams are expected to train and play games during fall, winter and spring season
• Our objective within the club structure is to have a Premier level team at each age group
• Players from this level can be selected for combined events throughout the year
• Premier teams can train 5 times a week if desired (Additional oprtional training)
• Premier U13-U14 players can train with select players during winter
• Additional training offered by the club's technical director is strongly encouraged (This may also incude paid camps and clinics)

This programs is designed for players new to traveling soccer and/or players who need more individual technical training. The aim is to develop individuals or teams to move up to the Premier level.

• Travel teams are less commitment but focus on development and enjoyment for soccer
• Travel teams play in a division in the lower 3rd of their age group
• Travel teams participate in 2 tournaments per year (More if desired)
• These teams are expected to train during fall, winter and spring seasons
• These teams are expected to play games during fall and spring seasons
• Games during the winter season are optional for travel teams (See coach)
• Travel players can train 5 times a week outside of team training with a premier level team
• Additional training offered by the club's technical director is strongly encouraged (This may also incude paid camps and clinics throughout the year)
